Home Installing and Configuring Forté FTrends Web Application

Minimum Requirements: Pentium 4 1.2GHZ, 256MB Ram (512 Recommended), Windows 2000 Professional (XP Professional Reccomended), Microsoft IIS 5.0 or greater

NOTE: You MUST be logged on to Win2000/XP as Administrator to install and configure Ftrends.
If IIS is installed AFTER the .NET framework, the framework must be re-registered with IIS by using the registration tool.
Example: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe -i

• Install IIS using Add/Remove Programs/Windows Components.
• Install MDAC 2.6 or greater.
• Install DotNet Runtime 1.1
• Install Ftrends
• Execute GSNet.reg located on the Install CD. This will add the necessary registry entries for the Graph Control.
• Edit the Windows Security permissions by right-clicking on the directory and clicking "Properties". Then click the Security tab.
  The ASPNET user (aspnet_wp account) needs Read/Write permissions for :
  1) "..\Inetpub\wwwroot \GSNetWebImagesRunTime"
  2) "..\Inetpub\wwwroot \Ftrends"
  3) "..\ForteSystem\Archives"
• Restart IIS
• The site is available at "http:// localhost/Ftrends/"
  Localhost = the computer name
  Ftrends = the virtual directory chosen during the installation
